Forrest L. 'Frosty' Paul

Forrest L. "Frosty" Paul, age 82, of Hays, KS passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015, at the Good Samaritan Society, Hays. He was born January 25, 1933 in Hutchinson, KS to Orville Heasty and Leota (Lemon). After the death of his father he was raised by Fred Paul. He graduated from Bloom High School in 1953 and earned his Bachelor and Masters of Science degrees from Fort Hays State University. He married Alice A. (Davis) November 28, 1954 in Hays, KS.

He was a long time Middle School Educator, Principal and Coach. His teaching career included Bloom, KS, Collyer, KS, Quinter, KS, and Morland, KS. During and after his education career he coached multiple sports. After retiring he worked for Clear Creek/NCRA of Hill City KS for several years. Frosty volunteered as a Boy Scout Leader for many years and was the Special Olympic coach for basketball and track for the Graham County team. He was a past school board member for USD 281, Morland. He attended Cornerstone Baptist Church in Hays and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, collecting arrowheads, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Alice of Hays; two sons, Steve Paul and wife Julie of Hays, KS and Mark Paul and wife Elaine of Concordia, KS; three daughters, Vickie Gano and husband Gary of Hays, KS, Tami Casteel and husband Dale of Cape Coral, FL and Carey Lewis and husband Steve of Hays, KS; 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and numerous extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his father, Fred Paul; five brothers, Cliff Keal, Aubrey "Bub" Keal, Everett Paul, Robert Heasty and Gerald Heasty; a grandson, Brent Ryan Paul and two great granddaughters, twins Camille and Tamika Sanders.

Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Brocks Keithley Funeral Chapel, 2509 Vine St Hays, KS 67601. Inurnment will be in Mt. Allen Cemetery.

The family will be present to greet friends Thursday 9AM until service time at the funeral chapel.
