Eddie Heffel Jr.

Eddie Heffel Jr., age 80, of Hays passed away Sunday, Feb 2, 2014 at his home. He was born March 30, 1933 in Russell, KS to Edward and Esther Marie (Fink) Heffel Sr. He married Signa McKanna on Feb. 10, 1954. He graduated from Russell High School and received a Bachelors Degree from Fort Hays State University.



He was an Automotive Parts salesman working for many years at S&W of Hays and retired as a sales manager from Jarvis Auto Supply of Winfield. He loved fishing and hunting and golfing with friends and family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was also a US Army veteran.



He is survived by his wife Signa of Hays; a son, Roger Heffel and wife Joyce of Hays; a daughter, Cynthia Heffel of Hays; grandchildren, Steven Stremel and wife Boram of Seattle, WA, Stacy Rogers and husband David of San Pedro, CA, Kelly Flaska and husband Gabe of Hays and Kayci Schumacher and husband Jeremiah of Hays; great grandchildren, Ben, Ella, Jack, and Max Schumacher, Gavin and Karsen Flaska, Lucy, Jude and Eleanor Rogers.



He was preceded in death by his parents.



A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Arrangements in care of Brock's Funeral Chapel 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601.



Memorials are suggested to the Dreiling Schmidt Cancer Institute or the DeBakey Heart Institute in care of the funeral chapel. Condolences may be sent to the family by guest book at www.keithleyfuneralchapels.com or emailed to keithley@ruraltel.net
