Donna L. (Lawson) Augustine – 60, of Hays, Kansas passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Hays Medical Center.
She was born March 24, 1963, in Union, South Carolina to Clint R. and Frances (Cloyd) Lawson. Donna married Greg Augustine February 1, 1980, in Hays.
She was a registered Respiratory Therapist for over 30 years at the Hadley Center, Hays Medical Center, and Home Health Care. Donna received her degree from the California College of Health Science, and was a graduate of Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor Degree.
She was raised in Danville, Kentucky, and Hays, and was 1981 graduate of Hays High School. Donna enjoyed the outdoors, traveling to the Rocky Mountains, she had a great love for animals, her two pugs, and her grandchildren.
Donna is survived by her husband, Greg Augustine, of the home; her children, Nathan Augustine and wife, Suzanna, Hays, KS; Bethany Pfannenstiel and husband, Tyler, Hays, KS; her father, Clint R. Lawson, Wildwood, MO; her brother, Greg Lawson and wife, Jennette, Columbus, OH; her aunt, Debbie Cloyd, Danville, KY; her grandchildren, Carter and Madison Augustine; Eli, Reid and Rhett Pfannenstiel; her mother-in-law, Rosella Augustine, Hays, KS; her borthers-in-law, Ralph Augustine Jr. and wife, Lois, Hays, KS; Bruce Augustine and wife, Susan, Plainville, KS; her sister-in-law, Linda Jensen and husband, Tom, NE; a number of cousins, nieces and nephews; and her little four legged friends, Rip and Dutton.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Lawson; and infant sister; her grandparents, Russell and Kathleen Cloyd, Sr.; her uncle, Russell Cloyd; and her father-in-law, Ralph Augustine Sr.
Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at North Oak Community Church, 3300 Oak Street, Hays, Kansas with Pastor Josh Gelatt. Burial will be in Mount Allen Cemetery, Hays, Kansas.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays, and from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, at North Oak Community Church.
The family suggests memorial made payable to: Rolling Hills Zoo, Salina, Kansas in care of Clines-Keithley Mortuary of Hays, 1919 East 22 nd Street, Hays, Kansas 67601.
