Don Morris

Don Harvey Morris, age 67, of Hays, Kansas passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Society, Hays. He was born May 4, 1950 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to William and Addie (Fox) Bodine. Don was adopted by Boyd and Grace Morris. He married Alberta Potter in Hays on July 29, 1988.

Don was a Heavy Equipment Operator working throughout the Midwest including Max Jantz Excavating of Montezuma, KS, Sporer Land Development of Oakley, KS, Fleenor Dirt Construction and Hertel Tank Service both of Hays.

He is survived by his wife, Alberta of the home; a son, Justin Morris and wife Karna; daughters, Amanda Morris, Tami Sauseda and husband Joe and Claudia Parrott. A step son, Chuck Hindman of Hays; a step daughter, Tamie Hindman of Plainville, KS; his sisters, Jane (John) Fortin, Denise (Rick) Buchanan, Terry (Doug) Main and Kathy (Billy) Johnson; 15 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; 1 step grandchild; step mother, Grace Morris of Olathe and a brother-in-law, Larry Walker.

He was preceded in death by two sons Brian and Kelly, his biological parents; his adopted parents and a sister, Cathy Walker

Memorial services will be 2 PM Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Brock's-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601. Inurnment will follow in St. Joseph's cemetery, Hays.

A memorial visitation will be 1 PM - 2 PM at the funeral chapel.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Good Samaritan Society of Hays and may be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
