Daniel 'Danny' Pfannenstiel Jr.

Daniel J. "Danny" Pfannenstiel Jr. age 53, of Hays passed away Friday, May 13, 2016 at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He was born October 8, 1962 in Hays, KS to D.J. and Margie (Leiker) Pfannenstiel. He graduated from Hays High School. He married Annys Hagen October 15, 1994 in Munjor, KS.

Danny was a farmer and stockman and had also retired as a road foreman from Ellis County Road and Bridge Department where he had worked for 30 years. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Munjor.

He is survived by his wife, Annys of the home; his mother, Margie Pfannenstiel of Munjor; a step son, Jody Hagen (Debbie) of Hays; three brothers, Jeff Pfannenstiel, Mike Pfannenstiel (Marilyn) and James Pfannenstiel all of Munjor; three nieces, Nichole McElroy, Elizabeth Herrman and Samantha Pfannenstiel; a nephew, Adam Pfannenstiel and four step grandchildren, Mykaela Hagen of Topeka, Krystian Oscar Hagen of Hays, Tristan Jay and Maigen Jay both of Hays.

He was preceded in death by his father, D.J. Pfannenstiel.

Funeral services will be 10 AM Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Munjor, KS with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday 4 PM - 8 PM and Wednesday 9 AM - 9:30 AM all at Brock's-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601.

A combined parish vigil and rosary service will be 7 PM Tuesday at the funeral chapel.

Memorials are suggested to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church of Munjor or the Humane Society of the High Plains
