Connie Faye (Corwin) Allen

Connie Fae (Corwin) Allen, age 74, of Hays, Kansas passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the Republic County Hospital in Belleville, Kansas.

She was born November 3, 1949, in Russell, Kansas to Albert “Bud” and Mary (Daugherty) Corwin.  She married Jay Wickham Sr., and he preceded her in death.  She then married Robert Dee “Bob” Allen on August 7, 1980, in Alva, Oklahoma. 

Connie was a waitress at the Vagabond Restaurant in Hays for many years until it closed.  She grew up in Plainville and was a 1968 graduate of Plainville High School.  Her pride and joy were her family and grandchildren.  She enjoyed her grandchildren’s activities, reading, going to the casinos, and her pet, “Coco”.

Connie is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Allen, of the home; her children, Terry Wickham and Brandy Wilkerson, Hays, KS; Krystle Skucius  and husband, Trent, Cuba, KS; her step mother, Katherine Corwin, Hays, KS; her stepchildren, Troy and wife Juanita Wickham, Hays, KS; Amy Ramirez and husband, Tacho, Ulysses, KS; Jill Regalado and husband, Jesus, Garden City, KS; Michael Allen and wife, Julie, Evanston, IL; Amber Allen, Ft. Oglethorpe, GA; her brother, Roger Corwin, Russell, KS; her sisters, Lou Kriley, Stockton, KS; Karen Dunn and husband Roy, Wright City, MO; Rosie  Hake and husband, Bill, Newton, KS; Becky Brungardt and husband, Dennis, Bazine, KS; Melva Vopat, Hays, KS; Theresa Earles, El Dorado, KS; her grandchildren, Meadow Wickham; Nathan and Andrea Young; Trevin and Kamryn Skucius; Ellis and Finley Allen; Andrew, Lucas and Karis McCarver; Jay, Jesila, and Jacob Wickham; Miranda, Dustin and Erika Ramirez; Danica, Sandra, Nicholas and Elizabeth Regalado; and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert “Bud” Corwin and Mary (Daugherty) Bos; and her stepfather, Duane Bos; her first husband, Jay Wickham Sr.; her son, John David Wickham; her sister, Evelyn Pywell; her brothers-in-law, Roy Pywell, Ray Kriley, Lee Allen, Jerry Vopat; her nephews, Jacob Corwin, Neil Allen and Tanner Allen.

Services are at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays with Rev. Troy Miller officiating.  The burial will be in Winterset Cemetery south of Gorham, Kansas.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, and from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. Thursday, all at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays.
