Obituary
Clyde William Stieben, age 80, of Bazine, Kansas died Sunday, April 5, 2020, at The Good Samaritan Society Hays. He was born April 24, 1939 in Ransom, Kansas to William and Emma Schwein Stieben.
Clyde met and married Joan Krug in the Bazine Methodist Church in 1964. He enjoyed working with cattle, traveling to Branson, MO and attending the shows, playing putt-putt golf with his grandchildren, together with singing in the church choir.
Survivors include his wife Joan, one son, Brad Stieben and spouse, Tracy of Tulsa, OK, three daughters, Marlene Abel and spouse, Lonnie of Garfield, KS, Darla Barricklow and partner Jim Frank, of Hays, KS, and Diana Mather of Sarasota, FL. Nine grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and a daughter, Deanna.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, a family graveside service, with military honors by the Hays VFW, was held on Friday, April 10, 2020 in St Josephs Cemetery - Hays. Once the COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted a memorial service at the Bazine Methodist Church will be announced.
Memorials are suggested to Bazine Methodist Church, Hospice at HaysMed, Good Samaritan Society Hays, and/or Cedar Village LTC. Contributions made payable to the organization may be sent in care of Brocks-Keithley Funeral Chapel 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601.
