Catherine Leiker

Catherine Francis Leiker, age 82 of Hays, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Society of Hays. She was born April 9, 1926 in Hays, Kansas to Peter M. and Josephine (Wasinger) Kuhn. She married A.P. Leiker May 9, 1944 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hays. He preceded her in death September 29, 1997.

She was a homemaker. Her memberships included St. Joseph Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and Senior Companions.

She is survived by four daughters, Norma Arnhold of Hays, Susan Kosinski and husband Robert of Huntsville, AL., Patricia Fisher and husband Darrell of Hays and Pam Leiker and fianc Dorne Middleton of Hoisington, KS; a sister, Zelma Kuhn of Hays, 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Peter Leiker; a daughter, Elizabeth "Betty" Smith and a great grandson, Myles Kosinski.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Friday, January 22, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hays. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, 4:00 P.M. 8:00 P.M. and Friday 9:30 A.M. 10:00 A.M. all at Brocks North Hill Chapel 2509 Vine Hays, KS. 67601.

A rosary service will be Thursday at 6:00 P.M. followed by a parish vigil service at 6:30 P.M. all at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Good Samaritan Society of Hays.
