Betty M. Lang

Elizabeth "Betty" Mae (Sander) Lang, age 83, of Hays, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Hays Medical Center. She was born November 2, 1929 in Victoria, Kansas to Peter P. and Elizabeth (Schmidtberger) Sander. She married Alex J. Lang on May 17, 1949 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hays. He preceded her in death on April 16, 2007.

She was a homemaker and worked in retail ladies clothing at Mam Zelles. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include a son, Mark Lang and wife Jackie of Edmond, OK; a daughter, Victoria Degenhardt and husband Jerry of Hays; three grandchildren, Dustin Degenhardt, B.J. Degenhardt and Alec Lang and a great grandson, Jarett Degenhardt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Brett Lang, 3 brothers and 8 sisters.

Funeral services will be 10 AM Wednesday, November 7th at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hays. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday 5 PM 8 PM and Wednesday 9 AM 9:30 AM all at Brocks North Hill Chapel 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601.

A rosary service will be Tuesday at 6 PM followed by a parish vigil service at 6:30 PM all at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the Make a Wish Foundation.
