Bernice Lang

Bernice (Herman) Lang, age 82, of Ellis passed away Monday, January 7, 2013 at her home. She was born February 23, 1930 in Ellis to Nick and Anna (Lang) Herman. She married Syl Lang on June 7, 1950 in Ellis. He preceded her in death on November 27, 1985.

She was a homemaker and had worked at Baxter-Travenol for 10 years. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed playing pinochle with her friends, listening to polka music and baking for her family.

She is survived by three sons, Eddie Lang of Ellis, Floyd Lang and wife Cindy of Mountain Home, AR. And Rodger Lang and wife Trena of Springfield, MO; a daughter, Danita Fisher and husband Paul of Ellis; three brothers, Ervin "Sunny" Herman, Lawrence "Lawdy" Herman both of Ellis and Leroy Herman of Westminster, CO; two sisters, Sr. Annice Herman of Fon Du Lac, WI. and Rita Mae Shubert of Lakewood, CO; eight grandchildren, Jayson Lang, Ja`net Rieve, Cory Lang, Tyler Fisher, Cody Fisher, Brandi Sunderman, Dylan Lang and Whitney Lang and two great grandchildren, Penelope Lang and Kitana Fisher.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 11, 2013 at St. Marys Church in Ellis. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6 PM to 8PM and Friday 9:00 A.M. 9:45 A.M all at the church.

A Daughters of Isabella rosary service will be Thursday at 7 PM followed by a parish vigil all at the church. Arrangements in care of Keithley Funeral Chapel 400 E. 17th Ellis, KS. 67637.
