Barbara Ann (Wise) Eledge

     Barbara Ann (Wise) Eledge – age 74 years 6 months 5 days of Waldo, Kansas  passed away at Russell Regional Hospital on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.  She was born June 27, 1949, in Omaha, Nebraska to Ruth Wingate.  Her father was Leo Eli Fry of Fairbury. 

     She grew up in Omaha with her mother Ruth Wise and stepfather Ray Marion Wingate.  On May 31, 1969, she married her husband Roger Dean Eledge in Omaha. They  were blessed with 54 years together before he passed away in September 2023.  To this union they were blessed with two children.

     Throughout their marriage they lived in Omaha, Nebraska, Ulysses, Nebraska and Waldo, Kansas.  She had a love of dolls, angels, jewelry, glassware, and all holidays, especially Christmas.  She loved to help people and dedicated her life to being a CNA for many years.  Her favorite things in life were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and she strived to make their lives the best she could.  Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will cherish her memory and love and will carry on her legacy.

      Barbara is survived by her children, Tony Eledge and wife, Catherine of Ulysses,  NE; Tammy Eledge, Waldo, KS; her five grandchildren,  Frederick; Alexandria; Skye; Maleeya and Nathaniel, her three great-grandchildren, Anastasia; Theodora and Ezekiel; her two sisters, Mary, Sylvan Grove, KS; and Cheryl, of Colorado; her brother, Ray, Hill City, KS; her stepbrother, Larry, Omaha, NE.

      She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Anna and Leo; and six unnamed male children.

      Her wishes were to be cremated and no services held.  She will be kept with her family.  Barbara is now in peace in heaven with her husband, family and friends who passed before her.
