Aquina (Leiker) Rajewski age 94, of Vincent, Kansas died Saturday, February 26, 2022, at her home on the farm. She was born February 12, 1928 in Victoria, Kansas to Pius and Anna (Sander) Leiker. She married Howard L. Rajewski on August 25, 1948, in Victoria. He preceded her in death on September 23, 2019.

After high school she worked at the Victoria Co-op Grocery Store. After getting married, she and Howard operated the family farm. She was also a homemaker and seamstress. During the busy seasons, she helped her sisters as a seamstress at Feme` Dress & Bridal Shop in Hays.

Aquina was a 1946 graduate of Victoria Rural High School, a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, and St. Boniface Christian Mothers of Vincent, Kansas. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, canning, her flower gardens and her vegetable garden. Her pride and joy in life was her family and her faith.

Survivors include her children, Dr. Richard Rajewski and his wife, Vicki, Hays, KS; Neal Rajewski, of the home; Susan Kisner and husband, Deacon Dave, Hays, KS; Rosann Schippers and husband, Thomas, Wichita, KS; Joann Wheeler and husband, Rory, Wichita, KS; Dr. Roger Rajewski and wife, Dr. Lian, Lawrence, KS; Leann Fortino and husband, John, Olathe, KS; her 15 grandchildren; her ten great grandchildren; her brothers-in-law, Dan Schmidtberger and wife, Donna, Hill City; George Gatschet, Hays, KS; Tom Wiesner, Punta Gorda, FL; her sisters-in-law, Ann Leiker, Hays, KS; Ada Leiker, Great Bend, KS; and Janice Leiker, Ellis, KS.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers, Gilbert Leiker, Robert Leiker, Elmer Leiker, Neon Leiker, Laurian Leiker; her sisters, Luella Dreiling, Armella Wasinger-Thompson, Theresa Haselhorst, Rosaline Wiesner, Mary Ellen Schmidtberger, and Ethel Gatschet.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 5, 2022, at the Basilica of St. Fidelis, Victoria, Kansas with Father Curtis Carlson O.F.M. Cap. officiating and assisted by Deacon Dave Kisner. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery, Vincent. The family requests that face masks be worn at the visitation and funeral mass.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, at Clines-Keithley Mortuary Victoria, and from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. Saturday, at the Basilica of St. Fidelis.

A vigil service and rosary with the Vincent Christian Mothers will be at 7:00 P.M. Friday, at Clines-Keithley Mortuary Victoria.
