Anthony P. Geist

Anthony Peter Geist, age 68, passed away on September 30, 2023, in Hays, Kansas. He was born on August 26, 1955, in Hill City, Kansas, to parents William Mike and Marian Anna (Trower) Geist. On May 15, 1982, he married the love of his life, Theresa Flegler.

Anthony's career began as a Cement Truck Driver for Allied of Hays before transitioning into a mechanic role at the Auto Mall and Hays Ford. He had a passion for tinkering with cars, which he pursued as a hobby throughout his life. In addition to his love for automobiles, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, immersing himself in the serene beauty of nature.

Anthony is survived by his beloved wife, Theresa, of Hays, his mother, Marian, of Hays, two sons, Michael Geist and Matthew Geist, and Matthew's wife, Kylie, all residing in Hays. He is also survived by a daughter, Angela Alvarez of Wichita, a brother, Don Geist of Texas, four sisters, Mary Lou Taylor of Oklahoma, Marge Hebert of Wisconsin, Monica Geist of Salina, and Marita Geist of Topeka. Anthony's legacy lives on through his 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Mike Geist, and a brother, Jim Geist.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Keithley Funeral Homes and Crematory - Brock's Chapel, located at 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601. A memorial visitation will take place from 10 AM until the service time.
