Obituary



Anita M. (Bedore) Thyfault age 89, of Hays, Kansas died Monday, July 25, 2022, at Via Christi Village Care Center, Hays, Kansas.

She was born August 4, 1932, in Zurich, Kansas to Henry and Victoria (Martel) Bedore. She married Kenneth D. Thyfault on July 17, 1950, at Zurich, Kansas. He preceded her in death on April 16, 2003.

She was homemaker, a farmers wife, and worked at Travenol for a few years. She grew up and attended school in Zurich, and moved to Hays in 1970. Anita was a member of St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, her bowling league, and on the farm her large garden. She was a loving mother, enjoyed her family, and grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Terry Thyfault, Topeka, KS; Vickie Thyfault, Hays, KS; Cindy Hart and husband, Alan, Loveland, CO; Sandy Thyfault, Phoenix, AZ; Pam Groff, Hays, KS; Jim Thyfault and wife, Brenda, Fredrick, CO; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother, Omer; and her sisters, Alma, Lean, Agnes, Georgie, Janette and Rose.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 29, 2022, at Saint Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church, 2901 East 13th Street, Hays, Kansas with Father Damian Richards officiating. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Hays, Kansas.

A vigil service and rosary will be at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, at Clines-Keithley Mortuary of Hays, 1919 East 22nd Street, Hays, Kansas 67601.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, at Clines-Keithley Mortuary of Hays, and from 9:00 to 10:00 Friday, at Saint Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church.

The family suggests memorials made payable to: Saint Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church in care of the mortuary.
