Obituary



Amy Ellen Casper, age 81, of Hays, Kansas passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022 in Hays. She was born June 23, 1941 in Paradise, Kansas to Harold and Amy (Corwin) Thacker.

Amy was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, sewing, jigsaw puzzles and especially her family.

She is survived by a son, Wilbur Casper and special friend Sheri Sammons of Russell; a daughter, Lorretta Keene and husband Ed of Fulton, Missouri; a brother, Harold Dean Thacker of Wichita, Kansas; four grandchildren, Hiedi, Amy, Arianna and Andon as well as one great grandchild, Nicholi.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Ernest and Lester Thacker.

Graveside Memorial Services will be 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 27, 2022 in the Bunker Hill Cemetery.

A celebration gathering will follow services in the Bunker Hill Community Center until3:00 PM

Memorial contributions are suggested to Russell VFW Honor Guard or The Wounded Warrior Foundation.
