Alvin "Brad" Romey 52, Hays, died Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at his home. He was born August 4, 1962, in Hays to Lucas J. Romey and Ida (Montgomery) Redmond. He grew up in Hays and attended Hays High School.



Alvin worked in the Oilfield as a Roustabout for Berexo Inc. He enjoyed, watching Kansas City Chief's Football, playing cards, fishing and eating them, riding his Harley, horses, family gatherings/dinners (German Food), watching Westerns, and Three Stooges. Alvin was a kind, caring man, would do anything for anyone in his support groups, and touched everyone's heart.



Survivors include his mother Ida (Montgomery) Redmond Mesa, Az; his faithful dog "Sunshine" of the home; four brothers, Kevin Romey and wife Karla Scott, La; Chuck Romey Hays, Ks; Terry Romey and Linda "Farm Lady" Terrell Norton, Ks; David Romey and Michaela Werth, Phoenix, Az; one sister Debbie Brassfield and husband Allen Almena, Ks; two aunts, Mary Wolf and husband Leon; Vickie Weber and husband Alphonse; Fourteen nephew's and niece's, Kyle Romey; Amanda Olivier, Jason Brungardt, Jake Romey; Audra Romey; Anna Romey; Spencer Romey; Seth Jamison; James Brassfield; Natasha Bender and husband Shawn Germany; Katie Brassfield; Sara Kriley and husband Bob, Melanie Romey; Jennifer Lindsay and husband Jed.



He was preceded in death by his father Lucas J. Romey and two brothers Bruce and Randy.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at St Mary's Catholic Church Ellis, Ks. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.



Visitation will be Monday September 1 from 4 to 8 PM and Tuesday 9:00 - 9:30 A.M. all at Keithley Funeral Chapel, 400 East 17th, Ellis, KS 67637.



Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hays and Cancer Council of Ellis County.
