Alma Armbrister

Alma Pauline Armbrister, 78, Ellis, died Saturday, Dec. 27, at Hays Medical Center. She was born Nov. 14, 1930, in Ellis County to John and Edith (Sablofsky) Huber. She married Robert Armbrister on March 28, 1951, at Christ Lutheran Church, Ellis. She was a homemaker and worked at Hadley Regional Medical Center in Hays for more than 30 years. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Ellis, and participated in church choir and G.O.L.F. She was a member and treasurer of the AARP. She enjoyed music, reading and working crossword puzzles. Survivors include her husband, of the home; a son, Rick Armbrister and wife, Susan, Salina; three daughters, Dixie Armbrister, Newton, Sherry Fisher and husband, Norbert, Ellis, and Michelle Armbrister and husband, Carl Hagman, Newton; two sisters, Darlene Suiter, Sheridan, Wyo., and Wilma Doyle, Dalton, Ga.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Melanie Armbrister; six brothers; and seven sisters. Memorials are suggested to the church.
