Alice Kandt

Alice Mae Kandt, age 82, of Hays formerly of Yuma, CO. passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Via Christi Village in Hays. She was born May 8, 1931 in Bancroft, NE to Carl and Louise (Schmidt) Repschlaeger.

She was a homemaker and had worked as a nursing assistant and as a clerk at the Yuma, CO seven eleven store. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church of Hays and St. Johns Lutheran Church of Yuma having participated in church activities at both churches. She was also an avid Nebraska Cornhusker fan.

Survivors include three sons, Gregory Kandt and wife Charmane of Hays, Dale Kandt and wife Beth of Walsh, CO and Wes Kandt of Hays; five grandchildren, Keslie, Derek, Kendall, Toby and Taylor Kandt. And a sister, LaDonna Meske and husband Orlan of Denver.

She was preceded in death by her husband Karl in 1985; her parents, two brothers, LeRoy and Kurt Repschlaeger and a sister, Leora Englebart.

Memorial services will be at 1:30 PM Friday at Messiah Lutheran Church in Hays. Inurnment will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery in Herington, KS. at a later date.
