Agnes Rohr

Agnes Rohr, age 96, of Hays, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Society of Hays. She was born December 3, 1917 in Ellis, Kansas to Frank P. and Katherine (Schoenberger) Brown. She married Gerhardt Rohr on January 29, 1936 in Ellis, Kansas. He preceded her in death on Sept 7, 1978.



She was a homemaker, and also a housekeeper. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She was an avid seamstress. She loved playing bingo, cooking and spending time with her family.



Survivors include her two sons, Gilbert Rohr and wife Jeneice of Walker and Leroy Rohr and wife Kimberly of LaCrosse; a daughter, Pauline Meis of Catherine; a brother, Bernie Brown of Dodge City; 10 Grandchildren; 3 step-Grandchildren; 21 Great-Grandchildren; 8 step Great-Grandchildren and 15 Great-Great-Grandchildren.



She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Evelyine Hatfield;a son, Julius Rohr; a grand-daughter, Paula Rose Meis; five brothers, Celestine Brown, Vincent Brown, John Brown, Leonard Brown, William (Shorty) Brown and six sisters, Frances Weaver, Mary Brown, Barbara Brungardt, Annie VonFeldt, Vera Yates and Theresa Wealert.



Funeral services will be 10 AM Monday, March 24, 2014 at St. Mary's Church in Ellis. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ellis, KS.



Visitation will be Saturday 3 PM - 7 PM, Sunday 2 PM - 7PM and Monday 9 AM to 9:30 AM at Brock's Funeral Chapel 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601.



A rosary service and parish vigil service will be Sunday at 5 PM at the funeral home.
