Agnes M Waldschmidt

Agnes M. Waldschmidt, age 89 of Ellis, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Trego County Hospital in WaKeeney. She was born on July 21, 1923 in rural Ellis County, Kansas to Zacheus and Monica (Rupp) Fisher. She attended school in Ellis County. She married Rudolph Waldschmidt on October 5, 1943 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Ellis. He preceded her in death on November 16, 2009 Agnes was a homemaker and she worked at the Ellis Good Samaritan Center as a cook. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella both in Ellis.

She is survived by four sons, Ronald (Diana) Waldschmidt of Russell, John (Linda) Waldschmidt of Victoria, Charlie (Verlene) Waldschmidt and Pete (Sandy) Waldschmidt all of Ellis; seven daughters; Connie (Ernie III) Fink of Ellis, Phyllis (Johnny) Richards of WaKeeney, Viola Fischer of Ellis, Judy Herman (Jack Carver) of Ellis, Paula (Howard) Befort of Ellis, DeeDee (Bruce) Dolny of Shawnee, KS. and Debbie (Randy) Herman of Ellis; two sisters, Delores (Virgil) Pfannenstiel of Munjor and Georgine Jacobs of Gorham; four brothers, Alvin, Cyril, Francis and Victor Fisher all of Hays. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Waldschmidt; a grandson, Scott Waldschmidt; a sister, Rita Mae Giebler and two brothers, Ralph and Edwin Fisher.

Funeral Services will be 2:30 P.M. Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ellis. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Monday 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the church and Tuesday 1:00 P.M. 2:00 P.M. at Keithley Funeral Chapel, 400 E.17th, Ellis.

A daughters of Isabella rosary will be Mondayat 6:30 P.M. followed by a parish vigil service at 7:00 P.M. all at St. Mary's Church.
